Are you a Teacher?

If you’re an independent English language teacher and you want to find English learners for your own business – then join us! Elevate is a membership and directory for English language teachers.

How it works: learners visit this site and search for teachers and courses. They can find your things and contact you for free. You need a way for learners to contact you (email or social media DM) and a way to receive payment. You can use Stripe, Paypal, Venmo, PayPay, WeChat etc, whatever suits you.

You’re still an independent teacher and this site takes no commission from you. The students who contact you are yours – no details are held here.

When you’re a member of Elevate you get your teacher profile on this site, plus you can list your courses/recourses/books/ lessons and whatever else you provide for learners.

In return you get access to a friendly accountability community, networking with other teachers, and exclusive training and workshops to help you grow your business.

About Us

WeAreEnglishTeachers.com launched in May 2024, the brain child of Abigail Fulbrook.

As an independent English language teacher Abigail knew how difficult it can be to find students, without giving your earnings away to faceless platforms. She wanted to start something that would level the playing field for teachers, no matter where they’re from.

After a trial period she decided that a membership model would work best. The membership fees pay for advertising for this site, and all teachers get equal footing.

As well as a friendly community of like-minded teachers, Abigail uses her experience of 15 years teaching and business to provide training for members. Abigail’s worked in language schools in the UK and Japan, and ran her own conversation club with members in 15 countries, plus organises online summits for learners and teachers.
