Do you wish learning English was more like real life? “Prepare to Speak” is a 6-week English speaking programme designed to help you develop vocabulary, understand real conversations and speak more naturally and fluently in everyday situations. You’ll prepare before group sessions with listening, reading and vocabulary tasks based on a topic (e.g. Food). There will be a new topic every two weeks and new tasks every week. I will also send you links to other resources like videos and webpages before each speaking session. In the speaking class, we’ll talk about the topic you prepared in our small group (4-10 learners max). I will listen, ask questions and give you useful, solid feedback. Suitable for A2 / B1 / B2 / C1 learners. My Prepare to Speak English speaking group programme includes: 6 x topical small group Speaking sessions (75 mins) – every Friday (7.5 hours total class time) Course content

The main course focus is on topical vocabulary, functions and skills (reading, listening, speaking). This means English that you need for real situations and real conversations.
I help you learn to listen and understand English conversations. I will also show you how to speak English in a more natural way.
You will need to complete one short writing activity (e.g. an email) every week. This is not a grammar course, but I can explain random grammar problems by email / chat if you need help.
I believe that real-life topics, tasks and situations can help you learn English more quickly and more naturally. Grammar and rules are important, but they should not be the main focus.
I also believe that you need to read, listen and USE your English as often as you can. This means preparing at home and speaking or writing to others. It also means getting solid feedback from an experienced tutor - and that's where I can help you.
So, if you feel like your English is “OK”, but not improving, call me for a chat!
I will guide your learning and encourage you to start using your English with more confidence, range and accuracy.
Also check out my site: Dan’s Real English, which I created to help my learners move from "school" English to "real" English. The site includes free English language models and guides that I created to help my learners develop their spoken English, improve their listening skills and become familiar with patterns that are super-common in real everyday English.
