The Summer Studio — a 3-week, research-informed English communication studio for advanced English users who want to speak with more presence, spontaneity, and emotional clarity in live situations. This is not an acting class and not a traditional grammar-focused English course. It is a practice-based communication studio where you learn to respond “in the moment,” reduce overthinking, and express yourself more naturally under pressure. The programme draws on communication research and combines role-play, improvisation-style tasks, deep listening practice, behavioural awareness, and structured reflection to help participants speak more fluently, respond more confidently, and interact more naturally in real time. Across three weeks, you explore the core pillars of real-time communication: Week 1 – The Other Presence, deep listening, and behavioural awareness. You practice paying full attention to others, noticing nonverbal cues, and responding in ways that feel engaged and authentic. Week 2 – Impulse Emotional preparation, spontaneous responding, and reducing overthinking. You work with impulse-based role-play speaking tasks that help you answer quickly and naturally, without excessive self-monitoring. Week 3 – Improvisation Authentic behaviour under imaginary circumstances; communication under pressure. You practise improvisation tasks designed specifically for English communication (not performance), with a focus on clarity, responsiveness, and staying present. The Studio is designed for advanced speakers who want to feel more expressive, confident, and present in professional and social communication. Outcomes commonly associated with this type of training include improved speaking fluency, greater self-efficacy, reduced speaking anxiety, and more empathetic, responsive interaction. Come curious, come open – the rest we build together in the room.
