Profile
If you’re an international adult who wants to feel more confident communicating in English, you’re in the right place. 😊
I help adults develop the English they need for real life, work, study and everyday conversations - whether you’re settling into a new country, working for an international company, raising a family, working in childcare or education, or simply want to feel more comfortable speaking English.
I particularly enjoy working with international parents, educators and childcare providers, helping them build the vocabulary, confidence and communication skills they need to take part more fully in both informal and professional conversations.
I also support learners preparing for personal or professional childcare and educational qualifications.
I regularly work with professionals and their spouses who have relocated internationally, often as part of a global company assignment.
As well as teaching General and Business English, I offer cultural support to help learners understand not only what to say in English, but also how communication can work differently across cultures.
I also work with professionals living in different countries whose roles require them to use English confidently alongside their native language.
🌍 A little about me...
I live in Spain with my husband and our six adopted dogs on our carob farm. 🐕🌳
I lived in Germany as a child, grew up in California, USA, and later moved to the UK and studied to become an English language teacher.
I speak English, German and Spanish, and I understand from personal experience what it feels like to live in another country and communicate in a language that isn’t your own.
Most importantly, I’m a friendly, patient and supportive teacher.
I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, trying new words and taking small risks when you speak.
My lessons are relaxed, practical and focused on helping you use English in situations that actually matter to you.
And yes - I believe learning English should include plenty of smiling and laughing! 😊
We’ll celebrate your progress along the way, because sometimes it’s easy to focus on what you still can’t say and forget how much you’ve already achieved.
